Happy, happy summer to you! 🌞 Summer is my favorite season–it brings this vacation vibe that stays around for a few months. The weather is warm and the beach is calling your name. It is time to wear fun dresses and enjoy warm nights talking to friends, sipping on drinks garnished with umbrellas, laughing the night away.
Last week I introduced you to my favorite button front summer dress, this week it is time to show you a shorter option with some ruffle flair, the SHEIN Keyhole Back Ruffle Hem Shirred Panel Dress. This little number makes me want to dance. The body of the dress is made out of a stretchy, band-like material that hugs your curves and adds romanticism with ruffles by the sleeves and at the bottom of the dress. The red and white pattern add to the fun character of the dress and so does the tear drop open back detail. The dress is made out of cotton–one of my favorite natural fabrics for the summer. I ordered a size medium and the fit is pretty great aside from the length, but I am also 5’9”, so it would be a lot longer on someone who is not quite as tall.
What is your latest summer find? Let me know in the comments section.
How is your summer going thus far? I have been away from the blog a bit as I took a trip to Austria last week. Vienna is such a great city and it sure reminded me of all the gorgeousness, history and beautiful architecture a European city possesses. The weather was warm and pleasant, which made me think of all the pretty and trendy dresses this summer’s fashion is gifting us with.
If you were a kid or a teen in the 90’s, you’ll remember that button front skirts and dresses were big then. Guess what!? They are back for some more action and admiration, and I am digging the trend for the second time in my life. Shein totally nailed it with this button front cami dress. It comes in three different colors, is made out of linen (perfect fabric for summer), the shift cami cut feels breezy and light, and the tea length allows you to pair this gorgeous dress with either flats, sneakers (for a casual day look), kitten heels or pumps (for afternoon/evening sophistication). The details are very charming as well–who doesn’t love pockets on their dress, I also like the high waist and heavily pleated skirt attached to it (allows for a delicious brunch on a Sunday ;)).
Have you checked Shein’s summer dress collection yet? So many cute pieces.
Happy rest of the week friends!
I have missed you all. Please, excuse my absence, life has been pretty fast-pace lately. Exciting new changes that I would perhaps share next time as this post is all about WHITE!
As summer is surely approaching we are all pulling out our favorite white articles of clothing, be it jeans, tops, skirts, shots, dresses–it is the season to be in white! If you love what you have, but are looking to expand your while repertoire then I have the dress for you. Just could not pass up this beautiful, cotton, fit and flare beauty from SHEIN. It is feminine and flirty, soft and airy, with an eye-catching cut out fabric, accentuating the waist and pretty stand collar. I am wearing a size small and am happy with the fit.
This dress pairs beautifully with any color accessories–blue (for a Santorini feel), blush, cream, red, even black (for a Parisian look), but there is something about white on white that spells “vacation, beach, warm nights, fresh breeze” and embodies all things SUMMER. Given that I crave that feeling, I paired the Ruffle Cuff Guipure Lace Overlay Dress, with white pumps and a white clutch.
Till next time lovelies. Love always,
How was your weekend? Did you greet St. Patrick in green? I feel like I am excused from this tradition as I happen to have entered the world on the same day, so birthday attire is allowed even if not in green! Hehe!
So this year, I had a full day of celebrations with different set of friends and family at different locations and with different flavors–brunch with girlfriends in mid-town, a bit of shopping and semi-fancy Italian restaurant dinner with my family in Beverly Hill, closing down the evening with cocktails in Silverlake… I knew I was going to be running around town and wanted to be comfy and chic, so what did I reach out to?! Unexpectedly, the first pair of ripped mom jeans I have ever owned! Somehow to me high-waited jeans scream: “Pair me up with a bodysuit and you will have perfection!” So I listened and picket to partner my comfy pair of jeans with a black velvet bodysuit with rivet embellishment. It added a stylish twist to the look with its sophisticated velvet fabric, slash collar line, and small cutouts at the waist.
To finish the look off I added my favorite black belt, red pumps, embroidered leather moto jacket and a baker boy hat. The look make be feel comfortable and confident–what else can a birthday girl ask for? At least when it comes to her outfit? 😉
Tips: If you are pondering upon grabbing a pair of these jeans, you should consider sizing up. However, if your legs are on the stick-thin side you will be “A OK” going with your regular size as you don’t want the waist to be too loose. Same goes with the bodysuit–I recommend sizing up. I generally wear a small in tops. I ordered the medium from this bodysuit and I should have totally gone for the large.

Have an amazing week, lovelies!
This week I decided to show you how to style a key-piece three different ways. Guess who the main act is? This wild child leopard and camo top I discovered on Gozon.com – a women’s contemporary boutique, headquartered right here in Los Angeles!
What is it that I love about this top?
- The pint – it is such a unique combination that I had never seen before. The colors go together perfectly and create an eye-catching piece perfect for fall.
- The sequence pocket – it adds a bit of sparkle and femininity.
- The design – an asymmetrical cut that falls beautifully and could work perfectly over your pants or tucked into a skirt.
- The fabric – it is polyester, but also quite soft.
- It is true to size – which takes the worry away from ordering from a women’s online store!
- The coupon code “MARIETA15” would give you 15% off your purchase from Gozon Clothing!
Look 1 – Too Cool for School – yes, I know, I know!! I have not been a student for quite some time now, but there still is a rebellious nature in this risk-averse mama! 😉 And somehow this look takes me back to the 90’s when I was in school indeed. These trendy SheIn distressed denim overalls are the perfect partner for my key-piece. Both are funky, unique (hello, have you seen camo, leopard print and sequins all together before?) and cool with tons of playful touches. These denim overalls have a few spots with very moderate rips–which add character, but are not large enough to make you feel the cool fall air get to you. The fabric is ultra soft and very pleasant against your skin. The ankle-length makes them the perfect article to display your booties! Oh, and did I mention the numerous pockets–super handy when you need to carry a few things to the playground, but you want your hands to be free to play with your little one once you are there. These SheIn overalls are also very reasonably priced at $21. I generally wear size 2 and these are size M.
Look 2 – Boho GI Jane – of course I had to try this Gozon.com top in a feminine light as well. I love boho-inspired outfits and could not wait to to put this top together with a suede skirt, suede booties and top is with a boater hat and clubsound sunnies. Isn’t this look right on trend for the Fall to Winter season?
Look 3 – Weekend Warrior/Mama on the GO – if you are a mama you know there are tons of errands to run and fun to be had on the weekends. This look is for you! It is super comfy and trendy all at the same time. Here I have chosen to partner the camo-leopart print top with soft black ripped denim and a pair of flats. Add in your favorite bag and you are ready to conquer the weekend, and do so in style!
Tip of the week: Sign up for Gozon boutique’s e-mail newsletter to be the first to receive VIP Black Friday Deals, exclusive coupon codes, and new arrival previews of the latest in women’s trendy clothing. Also, do not forget to use code “MARIETA15” for 15% off your purchase.

I have been thinking about Fall fashion and the fact that I do not want to give up pretty colors because summer is over. One of those colors dear to my heart it blush–it is so soft and feminine and could work perfectly with a light fall color palette of creams and beiges, as well as soft grays!
Today I am showing you a look that combined all blush with some cream and denim. This dress from VIP.com is the main act and outfit inspiration. I could not help, but fall in love with the soft lines it forms and that beautiful pear detail along the sleeves and on the belt. Don’t you think it is darling? Once I received the dress I could also appreciate how soft and comfy it is (I am not a huge fan of pretty clothing that is torturous to wear!).
To continue the color theme I paired the dress with blush velvet flats. I also loved how the elegance of the point toe added to the sophistication of the dress. Since I want to wear this dress now and for the next few months, and believe it or not, it gets cold in the morning and evening even in LA, I added a denim blazer. I chose a blazer vs a regular jean jacket as I wanted to stay in the slightly more elegant realm. To finish the outfit off I added some pretty jewels, a cream bag and some sunnies.
Unfortunately, this dress is now sold out, but a beautiful long-sleeve blush dress is here and another similar option is available here. To receive $5 OFF your orders over $50, please use code code “Marieta756” at https://us.vip.com/.
Are you thinking of preserving some of the summer colors into your fall wardrobe? What are some of your favorites?
We still have till September 22nd to enjoy summer and I found the perfect dress to celebrate these last few days of my favorite season in. And “YES!” those who have followed me a while probably guessed right–it is WHITE and EYELET, cause you know I have a crush on anything white or creme, that is lace, crochet or eyelet!
This Snow White by Metisu can do it all. She can be your sporty girl partner when paired with a pair of sneakers, a leather duffel bag, and some aviatiors, or your classy evening attire when worn with heels and a clutch.
Why did I set on this dress as my final summer wardrobe addition for this season?
- It is made of cotton, so it provides a natural and comfortable feel and a look that could be either casual or dressy.
- Midi dresses can be worn on so many occasions.
- The eyelet pattern is unique.
- The solid patches around and on the side of your waist are very strategically placed to give your figure a nice shape.

Hope your week has been going well. And “YES” I am posting for the second time this week! The solar eclipse must have gotten me, hehe!
Not sure if you can tell by the photos, but this girl is pretty tall–5.9′, some days 5.10′ (no heel height added), so when it comes to finding a maxi I never know if it would be long enough or sort of that awkward, show-your-ankle length that drives me insane… Well, tall girls, I have found the answer: the Burgundy Print Draped Maxi Dress by the trendy online boutique, PinkBlush!
Main reasons for loving this dress:
- It is long enough for tall girls – size Small, which is what I am wearing, measures 58 inches from high point of shoulder to hem–wahoooo!
- It is very flattering on your figure as the dress is draped, so it is perfect for brunch when you want all that yummy food. 🙂 The sash can be ties tight for waist definition or kept looser for a more comfortable feel.
- The material feels very gentle against your skin.
- The colors and pattern – both are perfect for Fall, so this dress would be making it to the office with me this coming season!
- Bonus for NEW MAMAS: The V-neckline and crossover design makes this dress perfect for nursing.

Happy almost-weekend, lovelies!
Hello, beautiful people!
So what are two of my favorite things? Mid-week and mid-August? Hehe! Almost, although this time I will be talking about LACE and EMBROIDERY details. This week’s outfit has both and is a casual look I know I will be sporting from now till there are warm Fall days to enjoy.
Let’s dice this look into its comprising pieces:
- Jenny Surplice Blouse – this is one of my newest summer-to-fall additions. This blouse is so boho chic and “had me at its sleeves!” The lace detailing and the bell shape spoke to me from the moment I say this blouse on Stay Warm in Style’s page. I find the light mauve color so feminine and trendy, at the same time, as it has a “washed off” flair. The third favorite feature is the V-neckline with cross string detailing–adds to the “happening now” vibe of the blouse.
- Sienna Slim Boyfriend Jean – what is there not to love about these jeans? They are ripped, embroidered, comfy, have an aged, broken-in feel and pair up perfectly with the Jenny Blouse. Not only do they both ooze a boho vibe as one of the embroidered flower’s color is the perfect match with the top’s color.
- Floppy Hat – these are such a great accessory for Fall. A hat can add so much edge to an outfit and I feel like this one competes the look. It features a braided leather band with beaded tassel trim and a five-inch brim.
- A pair of sandstone heels and bag to match, and VOILA! The look is complete and ready for cooler summer evenings, fall days, or even some warm LA winter ones!
