How was your weekend? Did you greet St. Patrick in green? I feel like I am excused from this tradition as I happen to have entered the world on the same day, so birthday attire is allowed even if not in green! Hehe!
So this year, I had a full day of celebrations with different set of friends and family at different locations and with different flavors–brunch with girlfriends in mid-town, a bit of shopping and semi-fancy Italian restaurant dinner with my family in Beverly Hill, closing down the evening with cocktails in Silverlake… I knew I was going to be running around town and wanted to be comfy and chic, so what did I reach out to?! Unexpectedly, the first pair of ripped mom jeans I have ever owned! Somehow to me high-waited jeans scream: “Pair me up with a bodysuit and you will have perfection!” So I listened and picket to partner my comfy pair of jeans with a black velvet bodysuit with rivet embellishment. It added a stylish twist to the look with its sophisticated velvet fabric, slash collar line, and small cutouts at the waist.
To finish the look off I added my favorite black belt, red pumps, embroidered leather moto jacket and a baker boy hat. The look make be feel comfortable and confident–what else can a birthday girl ask for? At least when it comes to her outfit? 😉
Tips: If you are pondering upon grabbing a pair of these jeans, you should consider sizing up. However, if your legs are on the stick-thin side you will be “A OK” going with your regular size as you don’t want the waist to be too loose. Same goes with the bodysuit–I recommend sizing up. I generally wear a small in tops. I ordered the medium from this bodysuit and I should have totally gone for the large.

Have an amazing week, lovelies!
How was your weekend? We took is slow and celebrated one of my friend’s baby sprinkle–such a fun and joyful occasion. Stay tuned to see what I wore for it later on this week.
Today I wanted to show you how I decided to combine a few of my most-liked summer pieces with a few of my favorite fall ones to make an outfit that work for this season. I recently partnered with ZAFUL once more and this Solid Color Pockets Blazer became my inspiration for this look. The soft peach color and the elegant cut give this blazer a very versatile look – it would be appropriate for work and play. My look is all about the latter, but pair the blazer with a plain pencil skirt, toothpick pants, or a sheath dress and you are ready to hit the office in it!
If you have been following me for a while you know I am wild about my destroyed embroidered denim–I have been wearing this pair ever since I purchased it in May and wanted to see how I could keep it out for a bit longer. Guess the answer turned out to be quit easy–add a cute blazer, some suede booties, a silk cami and voila–summer pieces transition into fall attire! Just a word of caution – I ordered the blazer in Medium (I tend to wear Small or size 2-4 when it comes to blazers) and this one still feels pretty snug… I actually cannot close the pretty button :(, so definitely size up!
Have you checked out ZAFUL lately? They have their ZAFUL Double 11 sale going on now, so stop by for some great deals!

Have a fab rest of your week, lovelies!
Hello, beautiful people!
So what are two of my favorite things? Mid-week and mid-August? Hehe! Almost, although this time I will be talking about LACE and EMBROIDERY details. This week’s outfit has both and is a casual look I know I will be sporting from now till there are warm Fall days to enjoy.
Let’s dice this look into its comprising pieces:
- Jenny Surplice Blouse – this is one of my newest summer-to-fall additions. This blouse is so boho chic and “had me at its sleeves!” The lace detailing and the bell shape spoke to me from the moment I say this blouse on Stay Warm in Style’s page. I find the light mauve color so feminine and trendy, at the same time, as it has a “washed off” flair. The third favorite feature is the V-neckline with cross string detailing–adds to the “happening now” vibe of the blouse.
- Sienna Slim Boyfriend Jean – what is there not to love about these jeans? They are ripped, embroidered, comfy, have an aged, broken-in feel and pair up perfectly with the Jenny Blouse. Not only do they both ooze a boho vibe as one of the embroidered flower’s color is the perfect match with the top’s color.
- Floppy Hat – these are such a great accessory for Fall. A hat can add so much edge to an outfit and I feel like this one competes the look. It features a braided leather band with beaded tassel trim and a five-inch brim.
- A pair of sandstone heels and bag to match, and VOILA! The look is complete and ready for cooler summer evenings, fall days, or even some warm LA winter ones!
