It is no secret that my favorite dresses lately has been METISU–they fit my style to the t! My attention is always captivated by the classy silhouettes, great designs, quality materials, and most of all I enjoy the confidence I feel when wearing a METISU piece. So when they reached out to me to create a video look book with Fall fashion I was quite excited and a bit scared as I had never starred in or edited a video before. However, I decided to take the bull by the horns and learn something new. So here it is!!! Enjoy:

Drop me a line and let me know which one is your favorite. I have promised myself to try and keep my Fall wardrobe away from dark neutral colors only. What pieces are you looking forward to wearing this Fall? In what colors?
Happy October! Pumpkins are now front and center in all stores, houses are decorated with those and the smell of pumpkin spice lattes is sure to catch your nose everywhere you go–still cannot believe how fast September few by! You?
This week I have partnered with ROMWE to bring you the perfect Fall shirt! It really has got it all: vertical stripes, embroidery, ruffles, a Victorian collar and an overall style that is suitable to take to work or run errands in during the weekend!
Let’s talk about each feature:
- Vertical stripes were BIG in the 80’s and have made a major comeback the past couple of seasons. The ones on this shirt are a smaller size which give it an office-appropriate feel I like, as I have to dress up for work Monday trough Friday.
- Embroidery is another trend that has been going strong for the past coupe of seasons. We have seen embroidery on jeans, tops, jackets, and now even booties. The flower embroidery on this shirt is very appropriate for Fall as the colors are in beautiful earthy tones.
- There is a ruffle that runs from the front middle of the shirt all around trough its back, adding yet another feminine touch to this pretty shirt!
- Should you decide to button up this ROMWE shirt, you would display the Victorian collar, which has an additional ruffle further enhancing the girlishness of this piece.
To achieve this office-appropriate look, I decided to pair the shirt with a pencil denim skirt, golden open-toe pumps and a blue and gold Chanel bag. This shirt would look amazing with some high-rise dark wash, red or white jeans and a pair of booties–looks I am sure I will share with you later on this season.
Have you checked out the trendy, chic, and affordable items ROMWE has to offer? If not can do so here. 🙂

This week, I have partnered with ZAFUL to bring you two perfect looks involving none other than the printed wrap dress itself! Wrap dresses peaked in popularity in the mid to late 70’s, and then in the late 90’s.. but have remained a strong female closet staple into the 2010’s.
Look 1: Have to wear a wrap dress to work
ZAFUL has such a cute arsenal of dresses, but for this look I pickled a beautiful Green Slit Beach Printed Wrap Dress. It hits right at the knee, has a sleeve and an asymmetrical front to back line giving it an extra oomph and making it very work-appropriate. Although it is very subtle, the black trim detail on the sleeve gave me the inspiration for accessorizing this look–black pumps, black suede cross-body bag, and black frame, oversized sunglasses. The little cream leaf print could also serve as an accessory color, giving you more options to play with.
The dress is very comfy as it is made from a cotton-polyester blend that would keep you comfy all day long. I am wearing a size Small and it is true to size. To transition this dress into fall and keep it office smart, add a structured blazer and voila!
Look 2: How to turn your wrap dress into a boho piece
For my boho inspired look I selected the Checked Ruffles Wrap Casual Dress. The cut of this piece appealed to me right away–these is something about a dress that is longer and well-fitted enough to make you feel sexy while not being over-exposed… And this dress does exactly that!
The gingham pattern gives it an every-day vibe and the sleeve trim detailing adds extra flavor. To achieve a boho feel I added a panama hat, a pair of black pumps, and a coral handbag for a bit of color. This dress is also made from a poly-cotton blend making it soft and gentle to your skin. On cooler days, I can see myself wearing this dress with a black leather moto jacket and a pair of booties. Side note: I generally wear a size Small, but ordered a Medium after reading the reviews, and I too would suggest going up a size for your order.
If you like ZAFUL or have never shopper there before, check them out and use surprise code: ZFEN for a discount off your order! 🙂
Are you a fan of wrap dresses? How do you wear yours?
We still have till September 22nd to enjoy summer and I found the perfect dress to celebrate these last few days of my favorite season in. And “YES!” those who have followed me a while probably guessed right–it is WHITE and EYELET, cause you know I have a crush on anything white or creme, that is lace, crochet or eyelet!
This Snow White by Metisu can do it all. She can be your sporty girl partner when paired with a pair of sneakers, a leather duffel bag, and some aviatiors, or your classy evening attire when worn with heels and a clutch.
Why did I set on this dress as my final summer wardrobe addition for this season?
- It is made of cotton, so it provides a natural and comfortable feel and a look that could be either casual or dressy.
- Midi dresses can be worn on so many occasions.
- The eyelet pattern is unique.
- The solid patches around and on the side of your waist are very strategically placed to give your figure a nice shape.
I added a bit of sparkle to the look with there gorgeous Henley drop stud earrings by Blush & Bar.
MERISU is hands down my favorite shop for dresses. Have you checked them out yet?

Hope your week has been going great and that you have some exciting plans for the upcoming weekend.
Since we are in the heat of summer and florals are huge during this season I wanted to introduce you to a floral midi dress with a twist, by METISU. I find this abstract pattern to be very artistic and inspiring. The flowers have a beautifully undefined shape and colors that flow from one flower to the other. The pops of brighter red and green stand out from the more muted earthy, tobacco tones and black background. This unusual color story gives you countless possibilities when it comes to accessories. I chose a blue Chanel bag and gold heels, but black, green, red or any neutral toned bag and shoes would also compliment this pretty dress very well.
The crew neck, midi length, and half-sleeve make this dress perfect for work, whereas the slim-fitting, elegant silhouette and side slid perfect it for “play”! I wore it in the office, followed by a performance at the Disney Concert Hall–it suited both occasions to the t!
This dress is excellent for summer as it is from a very light material. It also comes with a waist belt should you decide you desire additional definition in that area. It is also currently on sale for just $60, so hurry in and grab yours or show me what you chose from the wonderful METISU sale going on right now!

Hello lovely people,
Do you work at an office which allows you to wear jeans for casual Friday? My boss is extra nice and lets us be in our jeans most every day–unless we have a client meeting. I have to admit I enjoy being able to dress as casual as I like, however I do work in DTLA in a very business environment and have to still look presentable to that world.
So how can one work her/his jeans into the corporate world? The easiest way is to pick a nice blazer, a pair of stylish shoes, a dressier top and to accessorize. Today I decided to pair up my GUESS jeans with a Black Two-Button Banana Republic blazer, black Nine West high boots (similar here), and a black shiny Calving Klein top (similar here and here).
To add some charm and color I accessorized the outfit with an orange chunky ring (similar here) and earrings (similar here) from Lucky Brand, and topped the look off with a thin Banana Republic neck scarf (this one would look great) for that chic, feminine flight attendant feel. Last, but not least a pair of black Armani sunglasses (beautiful MOD version here), my favorite Botkier bag and “Office here I am!” 😉
I hope this post inspires you to jump into jeans on casual Fridays or even wear a similar look on the weekend for cocktails with the girls or a date night with your sweets!
Hello lovely people,
We are in the midst of winter season! Can you believe it? Do you feel like you are stuck in the world of neutrals or the black zone when it comes to winter outfits? I sure am guilty as charged! No matter what I do I end up having too many black garments all combined into a monochrome look that I rotate from December trough the end of March and I just can’t seem to break free from that habit.
This week I have been trying to wear more of my winter dresses and it dawned on me–animal print is a great way to spice up the winter wardrobe! It make me feel more vibrant, chic and “wild”! It provides a pattern for the eye to enjoy and a pop for the outfit to stand out, even if the pattern is only in the neutral color palette.
I tend to have all my animal print on dresses, but I think an animal print sweater or pair of shoes would have an equally powerful effect in refreshing your winder style.
